Alex Ponton

Alex Ponton is investment manager Uganda. Alex has been working with Ugandan SMEs in an investment role since 2015. He brings close to 10 years of investment and entrepreneurship experience to the team. He started his career at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB) where he worked on large international credit and private equity transactions. He later took a leadership role at Mango Fund in Uganda where he helped to fully revamp their credit methodology and significantly grow their loan portfolio. Before joining Iungo, he helped successfully start multiple businesses in Uganda in the IT, agriculture and manufacturing sector. Alex holds a BCom form McGill University and is a Canadian citizen.
